General Terms and Conditions for IFS Level 1–3 Trainings
1. Participants' Contact Details
All participants in training courses organized by Stichting IFS Nederland must provide their full contact details, including their email address. This information is stored and processed securely in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is used to organize the training. Contact details are shared only with Stichting IFS Nederland, the international IFS Institute (IFSI), the training staff and other participants in the same training. They are not shared with third parties who are not involved in the training. Participants who do not want their contact details shared with other participants in the same training must notify the training administration.
For more information about how we handle personal data, your rights in this regard and how you can exercise them, please refer to our privacy statement.
2. Binding guidelines of Stichting IFS Nederland and the IFSI
All participants in the Level 1–3 trainings of Stichting IFS Nederland must read and accept the following IFSI guidelines:
Statement on safety and confidentiality
Code of Conduct
Policy on declining applications
Admission requirements for BIG-registered mental healthcare professionals
Admission requirements for regularly and complementarily practising mental healthcare professionals with recognised qualifications
Stichting IFS Nederland follows these guidelines of the international IFS Institute (IFSI) for its training programmes.
3. Deposit and payment terms
A deposit is required to reserve a place on the training. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. The full participation fee must be paid no later than 12 weeks before the start of the training. After this point, the full amount is non-refundable. If you cancel up to 12 weeks before the start, the participation fee will be refunded, less the deposit. All payments are non-transferable. Participants who do not meet the payment deadlines will lose their place, unless an alternative payment arrangement has been agreed.
4. Certificate of participation
To receive a Certificate of Completion, the minimum required number of attendance hours must be completed. The required number of hours is stated in the relevant training brochure. Attendance is recorded during the training. If the minimum required number of hours is not completed, the entire training component must be repeated at the regular rate.
5. Cancellation and insurance
Stichting IFS Nederland accepts no liability for travel or accommodation expenses incurred by participants in the event that the training is cancelled by the participant or by Stichting IFS Nederland itself. Participants are therefore advised to take out appropriate insurance. If Stichting IFS Nederland is forced to cancel a training, the participation fee already paid will be refunded in full.
6. Changes to the training format
In exceptional cases, Stichting IFS Nederland reserves the right to convert an in-person training into an online format. If this change takes place more than eight weeks before the start of the training, the full participation fee will be refunded if the participant withdraws. If the change takes place within eight weeks before the start of the training or during the training, a full refund will not be provided. In that case, participants will receive a pro rata refund of 10%.
7. Specific needs
Participants with specific accessibility or support needs are asked to contact Stichting IFS Nederland as early as possible, so that appropriate adjustments can be made.
8. Changes to location and dates
Locations and dates may change. Participants will be informed in good time via the contact details provided.
9. Training recordings
Participants are not permitted to make recordings of training content. Stichting IFS Nederland nevertheless reserves the right to record parts of the training for the professional development of its staff. Participants will be informed in advance and asked for their consent.
In certain cases, recordings of non-IFS training components may be made available to participants. These recordings are intended solely for participants’ educational purposes and may not be distributed or shared on social media.
10. Disputes
In the event of a dispute, participants must first contact Stichting IFS Nederland. If the dispute arises during a Level 1–3 training provided by Stichting IFS Nederland, the complaints procedure of the international IFS Institute (IFSI) applies.
11. Changes to these terms
Stichting IFS Nederland reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Participants will be informed of relevant changes.
